Work by
SUE MIFSUD

Although my passion is throwing clay on the potters wheel, my exhibition work mainly consists of wall hangings where the clay has been used as a canvas.  I feel freer to express myself with colour and texture using this method and create abstract glaze and glass "paintings".  I have always used stoneware and crank clay fired to 1290C but more recently introduced a collection of earthenware pieces to satisfy my hunger for different colours.  I mix all of my own glazes and as well as my stable companion - my electric kiln - I also produce Raku and Pit Fired work.
